You have a guest over at your home and they ask for your Wi-Fi password. You tell them to find the password on your router. Having to type in your long, complicated Wi-Fi password can be tedious.  Here’s how you can change your Wi-fi password at home!

  1. Open Mac or PC
  2. Type in the router’s default address into the internet browser.
  3. Typical router addresses are 192.168.1.1, 192.168.0.1, 192.168.2.1, or 10.0.1.1 for Apple
  4. Check the router specifically to make sure
  5. Typically looks like an IP address or access URL
  6. Default address can be found on the bottom or the side of the router
  7. Login into the router with the router username and password listed on the router
    You may need to contact your Internet provider to ensure you have the correct information.
  8. Locate the wireless security section or settings.
  9. Change password
  10. Most secure network WPa2
